CS116: Holding Cell

A self contained holding cell with a laminated clear glass door with the option of laminated clear glass or non-vision side panels. Designed specifically for containing individual inmates whilst allowing the authorities to view the inmates directly from the custody desk / room. Can be used in conjunction with ‘Intelli-glass’ a bespoke system electronically switching the glass from clear to opaque at the touch of a switch (can be remotely operated). Complies with the Police Building design guide.

• Door and fixed panels are constructed from 40mm wide steel hollow section framework sheeted both sides with 3mm thick steel skins. mounted on 6mm thick mild steel plates and securely fixed in situ.
• All glazing is 22.3mm thick toughened laminated glass, the glass retaining frames are only fitted to the holding room side
• The door is hung from a substaintial continuous hinge
• Fixings to suit a variety of opening constructions
• The door is supplied as standard with a Home Office Type 1 slam action cell lock
