A West Midlands Police (WMP) Officer for over 38 years Michael brings to Cell Security an enormous amount of policing experience.

An overview of Michael's extensive policing career is listed below:

• Chaired the original National Technical Support Unit conferences for many years
• Represented NCS and the Police Service on specialist committees with Police Scientific Support Branch (PSDB)
• Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) in kidnap and extortion investigations for NCS and WMP
• SIO in murder, serious and organised crime investigations including covert operations and undercover
  deployments
• SIO for the Hillsborough Football Stadium disaster
• Experience of anti terrorist investigations and specifically intelligence and surveillance work in this area
• A trained Hostage Negotiator
• Implemented a new Air Operations Unit
• Has presented to a variety of audiences Internationally (NATIA USA) and Nationally (NCIS Conferences) the importance of technical deployments in major investigations
• 1998 New Year Honour's list awarded the Queens Police Medal (QPM) for distinguished service to the police
