Cells and rooms within the custody area require adequate heating and ventilation, with a constant room temperature and a regular air change. The transfer or air into these rooms is through a ventilation grille. These grilles need to be secure, safe and ligature resisting.

Cell Security ventilation grilles have been designed to meet these needs and comply with the Home Office Standards for Police Stations, Magistrates Courts, Crown Courts, HM Armed Forces, Custom and Excise and any buildings that require a detention facility.

Ventilation grilles are manufactured from stainless steel sheet perforated to Home Office agreed dimensions, all joints are fully welded and formed to resist ligature attachment.
