A cell bench historically used in Police Stations and Magistrates Courts.
Specification
Bench top is constructed from either 45mm thick Iroko hardwood battens or from Corian solid surface material bonded to plywood sheet to give a finished thickness of 38mm.
Underside of bench top is protected from heat generated by the heating pipes with a layer of 6mm thick heat resisting fibreboard.
Supporting steel underframe is constructed from 80mm x 60mm x 6 rolled steel angles and 3mm thick mild steel pressed panels, fully rebated all around to prevent passage of contraband.
The two hinged panels allowing access to the heating pipes are held firmly shut by two security fixings.
Finish
Timber bench top, two coats of water borne varnish.
Corian in white. Other colours available at additional cost.
Steelwork has one coat factory applied high build zinc phosphate primer.
Available Options
Ash or Maple battens can be supplied.
Corian supplied from a range of standard colours.
Bench can be supplied any length.
500mm wide bench for use in Magistrates Courts.
Fixed steel front without perforations for installations without heating.
