ADM200 Series Electro-mechanical Slam Action Cell Lock
Purpose
To provide secure locking of swinging cell doors using third party access control systems or conventional key control and where automatic deadlocking is a requirement.
Overview
The ADM200 Series Electro Mechanical Cell locks can be either flush or surface mounted and is of robust construction based on the Custodial Services standard cell lock footprint. The main bolt is automatically extended providing a throw of 32mm and deadlocked on closure of door. The lock has been tested to SS317 – Specification for locks for custodial doors – Part 1, Class 1 mechanical cell locks. Unlocking is achieved by a 24 volt DC input from an external source to energise the internal solenoid. The solenoid, when energised will then lift an internal mechanism to allow the external white lever handle to withdraw the main bolt. Once the door is open and out of the door frame the main bolt will stay retracted until the door is closed into the frame again and the lock is triggered. Manual Override is adopted in the event of a power failure, the lock can be unlocked by using the override key that will mechanically disengage the electrical functions of the lock and allow the external white lever handle to withdraw the main bolt. Mechanical Deadlocking is achieved by the use of a conventional key that will operate an internal inner locking unit that will engage into the main bolt when it is fully extended. When the Mechanical Deadlocking is operational the lock will be fully locked down and unlocking by the electric mode will not be possible. Keys for the Mechanical Deadlocking and the Override functions can be supplied to different combinations or if preferred one key only for both the deadlocking and override functions can be adopted.
