CSL0504 Low Level Cell Bench
Purpose
- A low level cell bench historically used for ‘drunken prisoners’
Specification
- Low level seating is constructed from either 45mm thick Iroko hardwood battens or Corian solid surface material bonded to plywood sheet to give a finished thickness of 38mm.
- Supporting steel underframe is constructed from rolled steel channel legs and 3mm thick mild steel pressed panels, fully rebated all around to prevent passage of contraband.
- Anti-ligature perforations are supplied within the top panels which is sloped to prevent climbing.
- Underside of bench top is protected from heat generated by the heating pipes with a layer of 6mm thick heat resisting fibreboard.
- The hinged panels allowing access to the heating pipes are held firmly shut by two security fixings.
Finish
- Timber bench top, two coats of water borne varnish.
- Corian in white. Other colours available.
- Steelwork has one coat factory applied high build zinc phosphate primer.
Available Options
- Ash or Maple battens can be supplied.
- Corian supplied from a range of standard colours.
- Bench can be supplied any length.
